Its probabilistic nature makes it predictably good at some types of knowledge work: summarizing, drafting, classifying, extracting, and generating options.
That also makes it unpredictable at correctly answering small context specifics of, say, what to do with the @ symbol in your business name when the EIN application from the IRS rejects it.
Assessing “AI maturity” is useful eventually, but delays action. We learn better by using it when there’s time to experiment.
Get ahead of the inevitable installations, agentic action, and data leakage because it’s a wild west out there with apps, services, and code that look legit but may not be or may do unintended damage.
